when i double click on a folder, it opens up in a new window rather than opening in the same window.

i checked tools>>folder options but everything was fine there.
in the general tab, under the browse folders section, OPEN EACH FOLDER IN SAME WINDOW WAS CHECKED.

i dont seem to understand what the problem is.

PLEASE HELP

thanks

You're right, everyone else on here is stupid.
Here's the answer to your question dude, redirect yourself to this site:

Basically just change all the registry things mentioned on the page (even if it means adding things). That WILL make it work, as I've just done it myself!

Open a folder.
Go to Tools on the Menu bar, then click folder option.
There's an option you can check to either open folders in new windows or same windows.
Just check the one you want. =)

in a explorer window you go on the tools menu, click folder options and in tab 'general' at 'browse folders' click 'open each folder in same window'

Neither do I, but maybe is a problem in your OS, you ought to go to microsoft site and find if there is a patch for your OS that helps fixing that problem.

Good luck!!
