My finace and I are trying to pray and read the Bible as a couple every night (on the phone...we don't live together). Does anyone have a good devotional book you have tried?

We read NKJV and KJV, but we aren't opposed to other versions.

As far as I am concerned the best devotional you can get is Oswald Chamber's "My Untmost for His Highest". Nothin like it anywhere. It is pretty deep stuff, but opens the heart for deep thinking. You can read it online at http://www.rbc.org/utmost/index.php?month=11&day=24&year=06

Praying is the best practice you can do over the phone together. try using the Daily Bread devotional for your personal devotions and then discuss the devotional together on the phone.

I would seriously try a christian book store me and my husband recently married and my pastor (we belong to the Salvation army church) gave us a devotional book along with a before marriage guide. These books have been very helpful. I will say a prayer for you and yours and God Bless

Try The man in the mirror, by Patrick Morley, I used this book with a group of people that i teach to and they really enjoyed. Or check out the books on ChristianBooks.com

I am now not certain, however one booklet you need her to learn for sure by herself is "For ladies best", cannot remember the writer's title. Other titles that come to mind, although i have not learn so much as skimmed them.. When God Writes Your Love Story through I feel Eric and Lesley Ludy I Kissed dating Goodbye by way of Joshua Harris i am going on reminiscence, those names might be off.

Try wordoflife. It is the best devotional book I have every had.
