my 3 month old kitten has a bump on her neck near the left side of her jaw bone... im not sure how it happened but i wanted 2 kno if there were other causes than just playing n bein clumpsy? and if it would b something that i can wait to see if it heals on its own...would antibiotics work? what should i do? im worried.

take her to the vet as soon as possible.. dont take chances with little kittens.. it could be a lot of things

looks like your kitten might of gotten into a fight. My cat last year about this time had a swollen leg. The vet said that he probably was fighting with a cat that had a virus so when he was bit his leg was swollen. Go to your vet, is your cat and indoor or outdoor cat. If he has been outside without you watching that could be the reason.

kittens alot of times get something called a Worbol, I think thats how you spell it, anyways its like a worm that buries itself usually in the kittens neck, you can either cut it out yourself, pay a vet, but Im pretty sure that it wont harm the cat and it leaves that cat it wont stay there forever

It sounds as if she has an abcess which needs to be drained by the vet. You may not have her on the appropriate antibiotic, and you don't want her to develop resistance to it, so consult your vet asap.

no don't wait to go see a vet. she is to young. this bump could be a sign of feline lukemia or it could be cancer. don't leave this unatended if it is lukemia or cancer anitbotics wont work and her days could be numbered

it might have a ablest if it does you need it to get it removed by the vet.
