I have liked this certain guy for about two weeks, and the feeling supposedly was mutual. However, he just told me that he does not think that the relationship would work. I have no clue why! I mean, I believe I am quite funny, smart, and cute, but he's acting extremely hard to get. How can I flirt more with him and get him to realize it would work? Also, how could I get him to break out of his "I hate girls" shell, and realize that not everyone is bad. Also, he's extremely "hard to get, hard to please," and is there any advice on working through that? Help!

Ok. Thanks for your responses so far. I found out a few more points of information, in about 5 minutes from this guy. Well, we're like best friends, he kind of likes me, but he likes my friend as well, and no, he's not gay. He also says that "school is too stressful," even though he complains about it being easy. Confusing? I think he is!

Try working through it with some soft, slow music in a quiet place for 20 mins, whenever you can..... This will allow for your inner self to say to you that life is to important to ponder such questions about others.... As long as you know those answers are for you to live by and express to others, the like wise confidence in urself will lead to someone elses' desires in you from the start. You know, instead of even having to deal with someone like who you discribed... Its too trivial to get the deeper question of why the other person does what they do. All the complicated scenarios like puzzle pieces, take years of understanding and nourishment and dedication on well, Both parts..
So stop. If you value you time here. It is too short as it is.... Peace and lots of love.....

Janine,

It seems as if he doesn't want to pursue this relationship. Fortunately for you, he told you this straight out - some guys would just disappear and you won't ever hear from them.

If the feeling is mutual, maybe he needs some time to work out whatever's going on in his head. In any case, give him a break and keep yourself busy.

If he comes around, he'll come around. If he doesn't, he doesn't.

I hope everything works out for the best.

Don't overwhelm him. Let things go. If you're trying too hard, he'll be scared away. If you go, live your life, hang out with other guys [and this doesn't have to be in a romantic way.] he'll see what he's missing. It sounds like he's just not ready for commitmment. Give it time though, it's only been a couple weeks.

You cannot GET a person to do ANYthing, so let it go. Focus on living your own life and if he likes you truly he will come your way. Some people are uncomfortable with people focusing on them so much, especially guys. Leave him alone and see if he comes to you. If he does not, move on. There's more to life than just one guy. Like Fergie say, boys are just like seasons.
