most of the water that we are using is the water that has always been here for billions of years -- it just cycles from earth to sea to atmosphere. I have also heard that we have gained some water from mini-comets, meteors, and meteorites that enter the earth's atmosphere.

water=H2O
therefore water got 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atoms.
water came from=hydrogen plus oxygen...
