They are root plants, they are in pods just like beans but are composed of only two pods/ They taste great when boiled or roasted (cooked directly above a burning coal). This is what peanut butter is made of.

peanuts r from trees which is where they grow.Then to make them roasted they r put in the oven to get roasted.To me they taste better roasted.
