If you listen to the Physicists, This is impossible, because nothing travels faster than the speed of light. Things start to get real complicated as the object nears the speed of light. At the speed of light it becomes infinite in mass, which means long before it got to the speed of light, it would compress itself into a microscopic particle without headlights.

yeah, you would, it would just be incredibly weird because the car would fly past, and then you would see the headlights coming.

that would be way cool, because the car would be going too fast for you to register, and it would go past, but then all of the sudden there would be these disembodied headlights with no car....

picture it for a minute. wouldnt that be amazing?

of course.

you'd see the headlights far behind the car (just like you hear the sonic boom after the plane exceeding Mach 1 (ie the speed of sound) passes.
