Go with the name you love and that you are going to enjoy calling him ,becuase you are going to be saying it a zillion times a day.
I personally like the name Axel/ Axle.
I have a Harley, whe chose her name becuase she is black and orangish brindle like th eHarley Davidson colors. We also have a Gracie and Allie name after TV and Movie characters.

I think Axle is a great name!
Give any name the "Yard Test" - Go outside and yell it (Pretend like you're calling the dog) - If it rolls off the tongue naturally, then it's a great name!

Whatever is in your heart is what you should call him. My dog's name is Lucky, but I did not name her. I would have named her something more cutesy.
I had a male dog named Jack, and he was a trip!
