Preferably something that I can do at home or at my water aerobics class. I'm not overweight but am conscious of my podgy belly and it's really annoying me.

Situps/ crunches are thwe best and they give greast results within a couple of weeks.
Start off doing sets of 20 at a time then build up to sets of 50. You need to be doing 200 a day. You can fit then in when you have a spare 5 mins a they are quick to do.
And as i said before the results will show within a few weeks!!

Well the obvious is sit ups... but in different positions as the lower abs are harder to do. A good diet is also needed otherwise you wont get anywhere

Try doing crunches (kind of like sit-ups, but you only go half-way up, then hold it)! They kill my stomach, but they work!

You can also try to do an exercise where you are twisting your torso, like Chubby Checker's Twist dance. It helps to keep your waist in shape.

1st you need to lose x-s flab. Need to some cardiovascular exercise for this - running, cycling - anything that burns calories.
2nd reduce your calory intake.
3rd Sit ups and crunches.

situps, you have to do them in different positions to be most effective. also try to condition your whole body. sometimes spot conditioning doesnt always work. also try altering your diet.
