I love physics and astrology too but ended up studying japanese. I still regret it a bit. Studying japanese has given me a lot but I still wonder what would have happened had I followed my dream.

Your dad cannot force you. Try to realize that it's your choice to accept your dad's support - and go in dentistry, rather than try to make it on your own in physics and astrology. No one can force you to do anything. Look closely at the choices you are making and why. You can't really blame others for your choices. There are plenty of jobs in physics (do you mean astronomy?) so don't worry about that. Show your dad the jobs in physics and astronomy. So he knows that, too. Be willing to pay for your own schoooling and work your way through to do what you love.
Just realize that if your dad is controlling you, that is your own choice.

Sounds like you need to get out from under daddy's boot.
