You do not "Have " to drink. You can stop any time you choose to.
Just check out SOS and rational recovery. they have things online and you can chat with others Morerevealed will give you info on AA and the Orangepapers will too.
You are not powerless you have the power. You can make the decision to quit anytime you want. there is online suport and more.

Hi I just wanted to wish you luck curbing your addiction. Alcoholism is a pretty serious thing and there are many different opinion's on it. In my opinion you pretty much meet the qualifications of an alcoholic(no offense), not all but I think that anyone who drinks at work, has more than say 3 drinks a day (depending on their tolerance level) or anyone who drinks on weekdays, especially in the morning I consider a alcoholic. The best thing is to stay away from places were you are temped to drink until you have the courage to say no. Unfortunately this is your place of employment, I might suggest if at all possible you should try to find a different job. Just keep in mind if you do want to quit you can only do it for yourself and you have to want to quit. Alcohol is a horrible thing to be addicted to and can hurt allot of people, not only yourself.

In the US, it is not required that bartenders drink alcohol. If it is required in Singapore, and you think you are developing a problem with alcohol, you must leave that job and go to a new job where you are not allowed to drink
There may be other programs than AA for recovery, but I suggest you find AA and stick with it. AA works, why look for any other?

i can only suggest that you either find a new line of work where the tempation of drinking is reduced and may allow you to focus your willpower on quitting (or at least abstaining from) drinking, or find the will to not drink at your job - this doesn't sound likely as alcohol is a very powerful addiction worse than heroine. Even under medical supervision it is easier to quit heroine than alcohol.

i would generally jst try to aviod it . i know that thats what your job involves but stray away from it when your co-workers drink and at parties its okay to have one every once in a while but keep it on the minimum. good luck and try to stay safe. don't drink and drive
