Do not be so hard on yourself... Everybody at some point will find the thing that we call as true love. True love is something that we interpret. If you are willing to give happiness as he does then technically it's true love... But do remember that being a human means you will always have misgivings...The willingness to accept faults and the willingness to give another chance is the truest form of love. Just wait for the right time...

Look enough places, sure. Just hope your one true love isn't on the other side of the planet.
Now if you'd asked if you'd find true love within a 20 minute drive of where you are now..... probably not, though you might get lucky.
Good luck!

I have found that it is most important to be yourself. I have also found that it is a numbers game, so to speak. You will meet people and you may not like them. They may not like you. The key is to assess that fact rapidly and then move on.
I have a friend who put it to me this way, when he was in junior high, he worried during the entire dance about asking an average girl to dance. He really worried about it. Finally he asked her for the last dance, she said no. He was out. Nothin' no dance at all. He said if he knew then what he knows now, he would have started with the prettiest girl and worked his way through the whole class until someone danced with him. You need to keep asking, rejection is inevitable - don't take it personally, just move on and keep looking.
Eventually you will find someone.
Another thing is that no one is perfect. When you meet someone, if you find yourself wanting to change the person or if the person is trying to get you to change significantly, you are probably not a match, cut your losses, move on.
Finally, I have found Yahoo personals, Match.com and other online sites to be a good way to meet people.
I hope this helps.
