Hello! I have recently done this, all you need to do is complete the bottom of your paper portion of your licence or maybe on the back , if it's an older one, it says change of address, then you send all parts to the DVLA (address on the licence itself) and it's FREE!!! You will receive another in about 2 weeks.

Change of address details are on the front of a British Driving Licence-just fill in and send back to their address (marked) in Swansea.....failure to do so is a criminal offence, and could result in a £1000 fine-it does not cost anything.I ALWAYS change mine whenever i move-or am likely to move...one less thing for "the soots" to hassle me about!

I rang the DVLA when I had to replace my licence and change my address, obviously I had to pay to have a replacement, but did not have to pay to change the address, which annoyed me slightly, because they have to make a new licence when they change your address and do not charge you, but because I could'nt send my old one off, they charged me.

Just fill in the change of address section and send it off to the DVLA.

Doesn't cost anything.

It is free

On the bottom of the paper licence write down the new address, and send both parts of the licence - paper and photo to:

DVLA
