it seemed to be just dust but there seemed to be more than usual (usually just three of four sporadically float down ..i know that's dust) but this was a lot and after about five miniutes i could see no more. is this a problem with my vision or can you explain dust some other way? again, opthomaligists highly appreciated!

When a room is sunny, floating dust is much more noticeable. If you just sat down and then noticed the dust, you probably stirred it up while moving through the room to sit. Or your chair/couch is dusty and you made it float up in the air by sitting down.

Try it again and wait until the dust settles. Then slap your couch cushion and look for the increase in dust again.

Little specs that look like dust when you suddenlty stand up etc are amniotic fluid in your eyes!

If your talking about real dust though, I'm not sure, maybe you just need to clean your house better!

well if you saw a lot of dust while in the process of sitting down then there you have it...by sitting down you disturbed the place you sat on....good indication that dusting needs to be done next time chores are done...

You either have floaters, which is an eye problem, or you need to vacuum your room.
