I sneaked up on 3 sleeping moose once,within 10 feet stamped the ground, and they reared up,they were very stiff ,and couldnt walk for a few seconds ,one almost fell down again.The 3 gave some F U looks and burnt outa there.

My only moose story is driving through Green Mountain Nat'l forest,there were two spike moose right in the road.Those were the first moose I've ever seen.Minutes later we drove past a beaver pone and HUGE bull (he had to've had at least a five to six foot spread) was standing there.So I went from 25 years with no moose sighting to three bulls in one day.I haven't even seen three bucks in one day yet.

No moose where I live. I know there is a kind of goat that does that when they get scared. Funny looking when it happens. Can't imagine what a moose must look like when that happens!!

at one point in new mexico while driving my atv i crested a hill and darn near drove over the top of a cow elk
it was funny
she woke and scrabled up and ran so fast gravel was flying
she was still leaning half way over at the time
pretty funny site
