I think a soulmate who is someone you can relate to, confide in, accept each other for who you, be there for each other no matter what happens between the the two, is willing to work things out even it means going to a professional for counseling, love unconditionally. Any comments or suggestions?

I´ve Wondered the same question many month ago when I heard Man and a Woman by U2 its a song, and my natural language is spanish so i had to try to interpret it reading all the text od the lyric, and for sure you are right , it can be something like a soul twin (maybe) but its not necesary to have the same likes or dislikes its something more deep , a deep relationship , someone who trust in all sense.

In my opinion, soulmate is someone whom throughout all of our lives (for those who believe in reincarnation), we are always with. We can trust in them and we feel a mutual feeling for them. I think we have a lot of soulmates, but there is also a type of soulmate called true love. And I believe that there is only ONE true love for each of us. But, that's my opinion.

You know, I've always wanted to know who coined this phrase. I suppose that this is the person who is your "kindred Spirit", who shares your feelings and with whom you barely have to speak to communicate....right? And yes, I do also believe that there is one true soulmate for each of us---but finding that person is such a crap shoot in today's world. Truthfully, there's probably more than one person with whom we could be happy for life, but if you find the TRUE ONE, you are supremely lucky.

I agree with you!A soul mate is one that you doesnot necessarily have to marry!No matter what positions or distance you are you feel the same way about eachother!
Soul mate meets that u feel for eachother not by the heart alone but by something deeper-the soul.
This person you can guess what they feel before they even say and no matter what happens you love them the way they are.

I don't believe in soulmates. I believe that people start off in lust, then they fall in love-after they have been together for awhile when the lust is gone, they have to be friends first and foremost or they will never stay together for the long haul.

a soulmate is someone you can connect with physically. mentally and spiritually. someone who knows the answer to your question before you ask it. someone who loves you unconditionally and feels that same love back. someone you can trust with your deepest, darkest secret and know they won't judge you. a soulmate is rare but when you find one, you will know it..... and so will they.
