Ok, i am thirteen years old and i want to lose weight. I am not obsessed about losing weight, i just cut out a few things. I am not exactly fat but i do have a biggish bum and some clothes are getting too tight, i just want to lose a few pounds. I do lots of sports so i do get enough exercise. I eat a lot of healthy food (rice, fish, vegedables etc) but i feel that i eat too much. How much should i eat daily?

I think the magic number is you have to burn 3500 calories to lose 1 pound of fat. So watching the quality of the food you eat is important.

I'd definitely cut out anything like white rice, spagetti, bread, potatoes - the white stuff like that

If you do want that kind of carb go with a whole grain version and don't eat a whole lot of it late night. You'd be better off eating this kind of food earlier in the day or before a workout to give you energy.

I'd also suggest you eat smaller meals more often throughout the day. And not to eat after 7 pm at night

It sounds like your body is demanding more food because you are suffering from malnutrition. Your diet of rice, fish, and vegetables, is poor in protein that a growing teen body needs. Your body tries to get more by being hungry and you eat more rice and veggies, becoming fat but not growing properly. Keep getting exercise and eat plenty of meat. Eat more meat than vegetables and you will become healthy and well proportioned.

HI IM 13 TOO AND I AM TRYING TO LOSE A FEW POUNDS TOO IM 113 AND I WANT TO BE AROUND 100 TO 105, I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU EXEPT I DONT THINK MY A$$ IS BIG I WANT TO LOSE IT IN MY STOMACH MAINLY BUTI FEEL I EAT WAY TO MUCH SO WHAT I AM DOING IS EATING ONLY A FEW BITS OF FOOD EVERY FEW HOURS LIKE U CAN EAT BASICALLY ANYTHING YOU WANT BUT JUST TAKE LIKE ONE OR 2 BITES OUT OF IT, SAY YOU WANT A BURGER AND SOME FRIES, WELL EAT LIKE HALF OF THE BURGER AND LIKE A FEW FRIES THEN SAVE IT FOR LATER AND ONLY EAT WHEN YOUR COMPLETELY HUNGRY LIKE IF YOU JUST HAVE A CRAVING FOR SOMETHING BUT YOUR STOMACH ISNT GROWLING, DONT EAT, THAT IS ONE OF THE WORST THINGS TO DO B/C THAT MAKES YOU GAIN WEIGHT LIKE CRAZY B/C I WAS 113 IN MAY AND THEN ME AND MY GRANDMA MOVED TO PALM BEACH, FL. AND I WAS DEPRESSED TO I ATE ALOT TO TRY TO MAKE MYSELF FEEL BETTER BUT I ENDED UP GAINING WEIGHT AND I WAS 121 AND THEN I WENT TO STAY W/ MY MOM IN UTAH B/C SHE WAS MOVING BACK TO WHERE I USED TO LIVE SO I WAS HAPPY AND I STOPPED EATING ALOT AND THEN I GOT KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL B/C I GOT IN A FIGHT AND HURT THIS GIRL B/C I THREW A BOOK AT HER AND IT HIT HER IN THE HEAD AFTER THEY BROKE UP THE FIGHT AND THE OFFICER PUT ME IN HAND CUFFS AND THEY KICKED ME OUT SO NOW IM BACK IN PALM BEACH BUT I LOST ALL THAT WEIGHT B/C I AM ACTUALLY HAPPY BEING HERE NOW BUT I WASNT WHEN I FIRST GOT HERE IN MAY B/C I DIDNT HAVE ANY FRIENDS B/C I WASNT IN SCHOOL OR ANYTHING BUT ANYWAYS IM 113 AGAIN AND IM ON A DIET AND ITS WORKIN SO JUST HANG OUT W/ YOUR FRIEND SAND MAKE SURE YOUR HAPPY B/C IF YOUR NOT HAPPY MOST OF THE TIME IT MAKES YOU EAT, AND DONT EAT "NO" SWEETS AT ALL, AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER LIKE EVEN IF ITS GATORADE OR PROPELL FLAVORED WATER ANY WATER PRODUCT AND NO SODAS WELL HOPE I HELPED! exersize a lot but dont over work your self
