I know that this was kinda for men, but I wanted to answer anyway. I don't really think that it is a substitute for a rubber, I think that it is more of a "hey the condom busted" or something happened by accident so they need it. You could be raped and that person *** in you, then you may need it. I am sure they will be used for the reasons that you are saying but there are also good reason for it too!

This is a tough question and I feel this pill can be misused as the only form of birth control. Todays society is all about popping the pill and not really dealing w/the issue itself. You cant get an erection pop a pill, stressed out..pop a pill, feeling depressed..pop a pill, your kid is hyperactive..pop a pill. What happened to dealing w/the situation, finding the source of the problem. The mind is a powerful tool. Use it. This after morning pill is for the oops not to replace birth control or rubbers. What happened to knowing to have self control around your most likely days. There is a test to let you know when ovulation is happening. The morning after pill can be avoided if the lady is mature enough and responsible enough to take further steps but on occassion that mistake can happen and rather have them do the morning after pill then the abortion at 3months along. No fetus is created it stops that from happening so this is not murder. It is prevention like using the rubber. I just dont like the idea of always taking something..how will this pill effect you in the long term if over used?

The morning after pill is not a form a birth control. It is for rape, broken condoms, etc. First of all that pill causes cramping and heavy bleeding and the woman may not even be pregnant. A woman should know when she's ovulating. If she doesn't know her body it's because she's immature and shouldn't have sex without a condom. The morning after pill doesn't protect against STD's. You shouldn't have sex if you don't have protection. There is always another day to have sex. If you don't have a condom don't risk your life. I wouldn't trust a girl that wouldn't want you to use a condom. It would make me wonder how many other guys entered her without a condom (since she can just take the morning after pill). It's not about getting pregnant. That's not the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is dying from a std.

I think its ok. I mean... I dont think this should be a form of BIRTH CONTROL.... but accidents happen. Such as ripped condom, rape, incest, buyers remorse.... Things like that. And I know lots of girls who go out and go dancing and drinking and end up waking up in some guys bed that they met that night, and really dont remember all that much of what happened. It doesnt say much for their character.... but it happens. So, I think this will prevent many unwanted/unneeded children. PLUS....Even if the girl was to have conceived from something like this, this "baby" is still in Zygote stage. Its a cellular organism still no bigger than most bacterial organisms. Its just my opinion, and wrong or right, this pill is here and Im a firm believer in people being themselves. I dont think any one has the right to critisize someones opinions or choices. (not saying you are at all.) As far as a guy zipping up and saying no thanks... Thats pretty unlikely. Im sure it happens tho. Im a big pro choice advocate. I could personally NEVER have an abortion, nor would I want to. But I dont think that its MY CHOICE to tell someone else they should or shouldnt have a child they may or may not want. I DO think that the father should have a say however. As far as the morning after pill goes, Im for it.

The intention of the morning after pill isn't supposed to be a consistent method of birth control, which is why it's called an EMERGENCY contraceptive. It would be for those cases when a mistake is made (i.e. the condom breaks) and an emergency method is needed. So I believe it is a great invention when used for the purposes it is intended. It obviously isn't intended to be a consistent method of birth control. As far as STDs goes, only condom or abstinence prevent against that, so even the birth control pill would be a bad idea on that argument.

I think the morning-after pill was a great invention. I don't know if it works to prevent STDs, and that's where condoms come in. Really, if you like sex, using them is the best thing you can do. Personally, I'd rather get my tubes tied before I take any pill. I don't want kids. Ever.

A condom is the safest way to go. The morning after is only a backup and will not prevent a STD. If not sure abstain from sex.

A condom is still the best way to go. If you use one of those, you won't need the morning after pill. People need to be more responsible.

These are moral questions, not medical. Don't confuse the two. Let's not deny a medical treatment just because some people might not have good morals.

Live your life and let everyone else worry about theirs.
