Guys have always heard that a woman playing with her hair is a good sign of flirtation, How dependable is this, and could it be a sign saying she is bored?

I think that it is flirtation and can be dependable. Its flirting if she's playing with her hair, while looking at you, and is leaning towards you. She's bored if, she's playing with her hair and not looking at you or listening to you. Reading flirtation signals is looking at ALL of the body's movements and reactions and combining them together. So don't pay attention only to the hair playing, look at posture, tone of voice and interest level.

Yeah. But that's when she's not with a guy. Like, if she's sitting in class or something and the teachers giving a boring lecture, she'll play with her hair. But honestly, I dont play with my hair at all unless I'm in fron of a mirror.

it could be a sign of both but you need to look at the body signals that go with it, if she is playing with her hair but has a sexy look on her face, then you know she is flirting, if she is playing with her hair but not paying attention to you or yawning then she is bored!!!!
Its not rocket science you just need to look for the other signals that women use, we always assume that men will get them like we do but this is usually not the case.

Not true now days...Maybe in the 70's...Yes she could be bored or just have the need to fiddle wuth something. Try reading the rest of her body language.

It's not! I don't really think playing with the hair means alot of anything. I do it sometimes just because I think my hair is messed up.

dependable. she is not bored unless she is not directly looking at you and seems occupied with a person around the two of you.

i play with my hair when i am bored or sleepy. i have never used it as a flirting device. maybe some women do.

depends how she acts on top of that. i do it all the ime but mostly i do it through stress or flirting, it may be hard to determine. but it is dependable by person.

now it depends on the things she says, the way she looks at you and tha way she acts, not playing with her hair.
