Here's a link that you could try- it doesn't explain why, but how to fix it(if you're not already doing this)

I would say your sis should stop screaming-maybe that agitates the cat. Or maybe a new cat moved into the neighborhood and is causing your cat to stress.

Does your sister annoy the cat, or is alone with the cat for any amount of time? If so your cat is just tired of her crap. How old is your sister? If she's a baby, then it might be jealousy. Cats are fickle people. Is your cat in heat? These are all relevant. Check your cat to make sure she isn't hurt somewhere on her body. That would make a cat act out.

The cat is likely reacting to your sister's bizzare movements and sounds. Your parents should certainly be working on teaching her how to behave properly around the cat. If your sis is really wound up, put the cat in another room where he will be more comfortable. You could work on desensitizing the cat, but that is probably more trouble than it's worth unless there are going to be other children around in the future, doing the same thing.

this is sooooo funny!! not if shes actually hurting your little sister though!! but, my cat does the same thing! i called the vet even to ask why...high pitched noises will get any cat upset their ears and hearing a super sensitive they can hear things will never ever hear! in fact they can hear you getting out of your car and getting ready to go into your home..and they know it is indeed you! sometimes on purpose i will do my labor breathing near my cat and she will just absolutely go nuts!! or i will say hiiiiii!!! to my other cat and he will attack my feet lol...the high pitches sounds just get to them..if your sister is old enough have her try screaming around the house in a very deep voice and i guarantee your cat will not be phased! good luck!

How old is your sister, that is being attacked by your kitty?
Also, is your sister old enough to be going through "The Cycle"(Feminine-Stages) or even pregnant?
That could be "triggering" your kitty, since a "Females-Hormones" are a very powerful "Attractant"(Smell)
During a Woman's Cycle, She does emit a lot of hormones, and salt, that can "cross-wire" your kitty's sense' and it could even be that your kitty feels that their is a problem(medical) wrong with your sister.
Animals have been known to sense medical problems in their Human Companions(Owners), Dogs have "Hit-On" forms of Cancer, and Heart trouble in their Companions(Owners).
Your kitty is No different! It could "feel" a problem in your sisters health...
Talk to your sister, and ask if She has felt OK; both physically and mentally...
Animals have not lost their "senses" like we Humans have, so they are more "Keen" to problems(health) that we ignore...
I wish that I could be more helpful. It could be that your sister is being too loud, around your cat, and it is hurting your kitty's ears and nerves.

It's not normal for a she-cat do attack kids unless she feels being threatened. The best source for you to get some information is your sister who may have some secrets to tell you about.

the screaming hurts cats ears as all loud noises do,, my cats run and hide when a neighbor yells or honks horns......maybe if your sister is older you could ask her not to run and scream in the house ....
