There are a lot of factors to your questions including how thick your hair is and whether you are going to use foil highlights or cap highlights. IF it is the first time you will be seeing the stylist, allow 15-30 minutes for consultation, after that it should take about 2 hours. 1hour for the stylist to apply foils, 1/2 hour for you to process, and 1/2hour to 1 hour for blowdrying, cutting and styling. The most important factor is the consultation. Make sure you and your stylist are on the same page for whatever look you are trying to accomplish.

Usually, which too long for me. I think it depends on the guy as well as his face though. Certain guys may pull off long hair and others can't.
