YES! One easy way to do this is coming up in January. The Girl Scouts sell GS cookies every year (cookie sales start on 1-1-07) and there is an unmarked column for cookies to go to the soldiers. Let your local Girl Scout organization (in any city across the USA) or a Girl Scout know you would like to purchase cookies for the soldiers and they will send them overseas for you. You cannot choose what flavor of cookie to send because they cannot send any that will melt in the heat.
This is a small but great service the Girl Scout Organization does every year for our servicemen overseas!!!

Yes you can. I sent cookies to my husband while he was in Iraq. He is out of the Army now but his Unit is back in Iraq. If you need a company to send cookies or something to just e-mail me at thetravelingmartins@yahoo.com and I will give you their address.

Every year during Girl Scout cookie season, I send cookies to a number of persons I know personally overseas. But to send them to random soldiers, I wouldn't know how to go about doing that. Perhapsd you could contact Red Cross or a particular branch of the armed services for information.

My friend has a brother serving in Iraq, she says that she can't send homemade cookies to the soldiers fighting there, but she can send cookies that are store bought with clear plastic.

Yes you can. In fact you can send anything to the troops in Iraq and any other foreign country by way of the American Red Cross. If you contact them, they will give you all the information you need. And, if you know of someone over there but don't how to get in contact with them, the Red Cross can help you with that as well.

Yes you could but I would think about sending them things that are non perishable or things like that because cookies attract bugs and ants so I would try thinking of something else to send but yes you coculd just get in contact with army

You can sent food that is prepackaged. Blue Star Mom's (mothers of the military) and other veteran organizations such as AmVets, Vietnam Veterans of America, and Prayer Angels for the Military have programs in place. You could also check with your local military base and Guard unit for assistance.
My son is in Iraq at this time.
Thank you for sharing your heart's burden.

oh, im sure you can, my parents sent my brother a bunch of arazona iced tea's and some other food from home. but when i asked mybrother if i could send cookies he said he didnt want them cause they just get made fun of untill they become something other than a private....its weird i guess. you would be better off sending a phone card so they can call you. or something else like that. unless thats what the person requested ofcourse.

You may not send them directly because of security reasons. However you may donate to a military charity. Keep in mind that big companies like Kelloggs and Nabisco and all of those people already send them cookies and stuff at a secure corporate level. Homemade stuff is not allowed to be given to them.

Most bases have a family support unit that sends care packages and helps the families at home through the transitions. Contact the nearest base to you. The redcross and other organizations would be helpful also.
