You would definitely have tighter abs after a week. You won't actually see any definition unless you have very little body fat though.

Doing 250 crunches a day will not do too much and you will hit a plateau. Unfortunatley you need to be doing other exercises to see results and continued results. A lot of times just doing sit ups will build muscle under the fat. In order to get optimal results you need cardio. The thing about exercise is you can not just target one muscle you need to be working the whole body.
