Hi,
Kudos to you for wanting to get braces!! The first thing you must do is to make an appointment with your general dentist for a check up and a cleaning. Advise them that you are wanting braces. They will refer you to an orthodontist they work with for a new patient exam. Then you will have an exam with the orthodontist. They will give you a treatment plan. Your dentist and your orthodontist work together with you. You HAVE TO HAVE BOTH OF THEM ACTIVE IN YOUR TREATMENT. Good luck and congratulations for seeking dental treatment!!!!!
