I am a stay at home mom who is currently 24 weeks pregnant and I was wonder if there where any moms or dads who work form home. I am having a hard time finacicnally and was wondering if there is any legitamite work-from-home companies that will pay you to do things online or whatever. I don't want any of those ones that you have to pay money before they will let you work for them, I really need something that will help bring in some money to my household. Or if anyone else has any ideas of things that I can do to help other than gov. assistance because my hubby makes a little too much to qualify for anything. Any ideas or suggestions would help. I have tried applying for jobs but as soon as they find out that I am pregnant they never call back for an interview or they just blow me off if I get an interview. I know that this is not legally right but there's nothing I can do about it, please if anyone has anything that will help I would appreciate it and thank you ahead of time!

I do quite a few things online to make money. I don't make a lot, but I figure that is more than I would get if I just sat around watching TV.

There are several really good Paid-To-Read (PTR) email programs out there. Just do an online search for them.

If you like to write, there is a website that you can write for; product reviews in many different categories.

There are also Survey companies that will pay you to do surveys. These are hard to find sometimes. Some of them offer points which can be converted into cash at a certain point. I belong to one of these and I have gotten paid many times from them.

There is also Mystery Shopping. I have done fairly well with these as well.

Feel free to email me for details if you are interested.

Good luck.

You could try doing book keeping for a few business. You can get skills off the Internet. They have some at home college classes on the Internet.
Or you could do tutoring for some kids in school. They can come to your home on weekends or at evening times. You can ask a few neighbor kids or some friends kids. Charge by the hour.
How about baking deserts for friends parties, give them good prices, or do a little babysitting for friends.
There is alot you can do, you just need to write down your skills, and figure out a plan.

My girlfriend suffers a similar problem as you. She is not pregnant but she cannot work due to a serious car accident she was involved in back in August.
I have recommended to her that she look into selling items on eBay. She has a good hand at arts/crafts so I made the suggestion that when she is ready she could start to make some things that we could sell on eBay. I am not currently set up as a seller on there, but it is my understanding that it is very easy to get set up as a seller. Even if you cannot do crafts to sell, do some brainstorming about other items to sell on eBay. If you ever visit that web site, you would be absolutely astounded to see the range of items sold there. Maybe you have some old items in the house you want to get rid of (i.e. dust collectors)? Some sellers don't even sell items, but rather services of one sort or another. That is another route to go, if you don't have any physical/tangible items to sell. Maybe you are good at giving self help/therapy?
Seriously, people will buy anything these days! It is worth consideration to a person such as yourself.
Best of luck!

I used to do transcription from home. Maybe a temp service could help you out with that. Or do something part-time in the evening, even if it is a sucky cashiering job. We did that for awhile, where I worked days and he worked PT second shift, we only needed someone to watch the little guy for about 2 hours on Fridays.

i am exactly in your same boat!! And everyone wants money to 'start-up', money that i just dont have!! My friend got me started with a company that is doing really wonderful things and research for helping people with optimim health and actually helping body's fight off diseases like cancer, tumors, chemo effects, arthritis, alzhiemers, parkinson's....down to the common cold.
It cost me $20 to start. If you would like to learn more, or ask me questions, please respond to me personally by email and i will be happy to share.
I just started recently, have not made any money, but I also have not been putting alot of effort into it yet. I have seen the potential though!!
I am not trying to spam here people!! I am not advertising anything but a response to this particular question.

If you want more 'clean and tidy' things to do, then you could wash other floors, dust and polish, clean windows, have a change around with furniture, arrange things differently, sort through your kitchen etc Or something fun, go out and shop till you drop!
