How can a tie cause a rash? the tie doesn't touch your neck.

It must be the shirt or your neck.

Try buying better quality shirts and washing your neck

It could be you are having a reaction to the detergent your shirts were washed in.

Wearing a tie brings the cloth tight against the skin.

Have you thought of clip-on ties?

the rash is probably a sweat rash.....so not casting aspurtions about your hygene (I will asume you use soap) the possible reason could be you have bought a shirt which has a high polyester content in the fibre....so when you sweat you get a rash...get a cotton rich shirt which breathes....in addition ensure you are getting the right neck measurement on the collar...people especially american tend to get it too tight.

The tie itself would not cause this. You may just need a shirt with a larger neck measurement. The shirt collar may be rubbing.
