smog laws forbid you to install a older engine in your car :(

Are you talking about swapping the transmission 92 to 98 or the engine?

If the Engine-Don't do it.

It will be very difficult, it may not be legal in many states, and not worth the hassle.

Sell the engine, ( I know that 3.3 lasts forever) use the proceeds to do it right.

If the transmission, if you have to ask the question, you probably don't have access to the skills needed.

The transmission housings are different, and the computer controls are also. It would take major modifications to make that transmission work. You are better off getting the correct transmission!

Yes it will fit.... However you may in for a wiring and Computer nightmare.
