The best way to show your devotion to anything is by taking action towards whatever it is you are devoted to. However, this action need not be done in front of others, necessarily, for the best actions are those where the person doing the act does not expect anything in return, including public acknowledgment.....obviously, sometimes that happens, but it shouldn't be the intention.
An example would be prayer.....you can do this in private vs. in a congregation. Both have value, but even in a congregation of people, you can pray internally without bringing attention to yourself.

Devoution is best demonstrated by quietly living the Gospel message and having a solid prayer life, this in turn will bear fruit in bringing others to Christ.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
