Well if a person were educated in history why would they be Christians in the first place? Isn't that just as valid a question? I think it very much is,when you look at the history of Christianity all the way back to it's rise to prominence under Constantine, which was a violent bloody excursion into madness itself, followed by more violence and more bloodshed every time their power over a society was threatened. I think the history of all the Abrahamic religions prove they are not what they claim to be,to follow any of them is to accept a history built with bone and steel.

Hinduism is the only mainstream faith that accepts that a detrimental tension exists interior the universe. The Hindu universe is controlled with the aid of the Trimurti or the Hindu Trinity, comprising Brahma - the author; Vishnu - the Preserver; and Shiva - the Destroyer. Its an countless cycle or beginning->death->rebirth. This detrimental tension isn't considered as evil - its area of life. All residing organisms would desire to perish at last in some way. The suffering led to with the aid of this occurrence is often what's referred with the aid of mankind as "evil" component. whether a pragmatist will settle for this as being consequential area of life. whether its important to understand that the physique loses its identity with out the soul(Athman) however the soul would not lose its identity.

If they say that the papacy is the head of the Christian Church, thus blaming ALL their sins (murders, wars, tortures, false teachings..etc) on all Christians; I see where they could turn away.

They would still be ignorant; however, about what true Christianity is and that Christ is the head of the church, not some pope. The popes blaspheme God by calling themselves "Holy Father": and blaspheme the Holy Spirit by calling themselves the replacement of Christ on earth or Vicarus Christi. Like the popes, though, all that turn away, do so because the truth is not in them.

To the papacy's eternal shame, is the testimonies of the martyrs, whom they called heretics. There has always been a remnant of the church, proving that the papacy was not the true Church; but the seat of anti-christ.

NO, because that Christian would see that Judaism points to a savior- and that all prophesies were match by what Jesus did. The Christian couldn't convert to Islam because if Jesus was another prophet and was liked-then they must honor His words of "I am the way the truth and the life-NO ONE comes to my father except through ME." Pretty strong words. If you respect a man you must respect what He says. I think that those who might convert just don't know these important things.

Education in Christian history? I grew up a christian, and converted to Judaism because of the history of Christianity, the fact that I felt it inconceivable that Jesus is G-d, and I am sorry--------I do not think your question makes any sense.

I remember as a child learning about Richard the Lionheart--called this because of his faith and how he fought the non-believers. This is Christian history. I grew up and learned another, and the real, story. He was called this because he beheaded 3000 of Saladin's soldiers who were captured near Jaffa. He had the cold heart of a lion. And, it was not his faith that pushed him on---it was greed for wealth and power.

The Inquisition gave strength to the church and Christianity. If you say so. I see the thousands upon thousands of Jews and Muslims killed and displaced because of it.

It depends on who writes the history.

There is a fundamental reason that Christians [usually] never convert to other religions.

It is because they are taught from the time they are knee high that their religion is the only "correct" religion. They are the only one who are right and who are going to Heaven because they have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.

Well, I happen to believe that there is room in Heaven for all kinds of people------from all different religions!

In the end, I think one will be judged more on how they have lived their life and how they have treated other people. God is not interested in who thinks they are more "right," in regards to getting into Heaven.

They find the other religion to be more in line with their world view, they are more comfortable with the other ideology, they like the people better, or they're converting for love. Plenty of reasons for anyone to convert. It happens all the time. History's got nothing to do with most conversions.

A true Christian wouldn't convert to any other religion. Those who profess to be Christians that do...aren't and never were.
