If it wasn't for my rambunctious 3 yr old I think some of us would have killed ourselves from boredom!

When I have guests, especially for a special occassion I try to make it lively with some music, decorations, maybe a card game or board game for after dinner. We were around family and that was great and all but it just seemed like no one was in the mood to talk or anything!

Oh, I don't know if it was the MOST boring. The adult women watched Ice Age - The Meltdown with all the kids and took turns with kitchen duties, while the men and the older children, played volleyball outdoors and frying our turkeys.

When all the cooking was done, we loaded onto the porch and sat at the long tables pushed together. We each took a moment to give thanks for a particular blessing and a prayer was said by my husband.

After the food fest, we all relaxed with coffee or tea and watched the younger kids play on the swing-set and in the pool.

Good family, good friends, good food, good blessings.

Yeah, I guess it was boring, but I could have a 100 of these type of boring days a year easily.

Peace, dear one.

Thanksgiving day is usually boring for me too. Yesterday was not the worst though. We had a bonfire and some beer. I do not like getting together with all of my family and friends at once- most of them are too boring. I am dreading the Christmas gatherings.

We had a scarey time one person who was supposed to be at our house at 10 didn't show up until 1. She left her cell phone charging at the apartment and her roomie said she had left 20 minutes ago. Boring is good some time! :)
(she did make it and she ate and we did play cards)
Hope your Christmas is more fun!

How sad that you were so blessed with family and the ability to celebrate and still had such a crummy time. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
