You should give him an iMemoryBook.
I was trying to decide what to give my roommate (one of me best friends) for his wedding present. After seeing iMemoryBook I came up with a great idea. I convinced Derek and Wendy to write "He said...She said" stories about the way they met and the way they got engaged. Then using iMemoryBook's invitation system I sent invitations to all of his family and friends, in Utah, and all of her family and friends, in California. Then I watched the book grow online. I was amazed at how smoothly this book grew with the iMemoryBook system. Over 70 people got online, viewed and contributed to the book. The final book had over 200 photos, 75 entries(memories), and 100+ pages, iMemoryBook has helped me create something I wouldn't have even imagined possible.
It is the only present that he has displayed on his coffee table to this day.

1. Money – Yes it's true; while it may seem impersonal or uncreative, money is my number one recommended wedding gift.2. An expensive item off of their registry 3.A luxurious hotel room for their first night as a married couple 4.. A wedding gift to stand the test of time Whether it's a bottle of scotch or fine wine with instructions to open on their tenth anniversary, a gorgeous vase, or piece of art, give a gift on which the couple will be able to look fondly and say "Our friend John gave us that for our wedding." Other ideas include the couple's wedding invitation in a beautiful frame, a handmade quilt or tablecloth, or an antique piece of furniture.
5.Make their honeymoon extra sweet - If you've ever been to the place where the couple is honeymooning, use that knowledge to get them a gift certificate for your favorite restaurant or resort activity. You could also upgrade their plane tickets to first class, give them a camera to help them take great pictures, or give them some spending money tucked inside a guidebook of the area.

I'll say a watch. Because 1. He can wear it all the time so that you won't be forgotten 2. To remind him that a marriage is like a watch, it lasts forever as long as you remember to wind it up from time to time 3. If you buy him a good one then it's something that it's worthy to keep when one day he doesn't wear it anymore.
Hope you'll find your perfect gift soon.

They say a pictures holds a thousand words, this is true! Give him a landscape picture of your favorite place to be together so he can display it. REMEMBER: The only acceptable way for you to be in the picture is to fade into a crowd so that the future wife does not realize you're there.

either make something really nice out of pottery, or go for a very good personal touch. MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF TINFOIL! it's shiny, nice, and very easy to craft with.
