I've done my research on this breed and I like it alot. But if it's expensive, my parents are not gonna give it to me. So, what's the CO$T?

Find out by going to www.akc.org & contacting members of your closest local Shiba Inu club. I have seen these at dog shows - the reds have a glow to them in the sun that is beautiful, but the black & tans are so handsome. If you have any upcoming shows near you (which you can also find at that website) , you should attend to see more in person!

Breeders involved in their breed's club are the best ones from which to buy a pup - they are concerned for the breed's welfare, and do genetic testing to ensure they are breeding top-quality healthy dogs. They will welcome questions anytime throughout your dog's life. Avoid pups sold over the internet & at pet stores, as they are generally from puppy mills - they will be poor looking specimins of the breed, with no early socialization & many health problems. Good luck in your search!

Usually between $500. to $800. depending on sex and bloodline. Check the net for breeders of this type of animal they usually quote prices in their adds. Check your local newspaper and with pets stores you will get an answer.
