The same things were installed somewhere near Harrow a few years back and were hit so often that the road was closed more often than it was open, and as far as I know eventually they had to give it up as a bad job because it caused more congestion than it was supposed to relieve - but I haven't been there for a while so I don't know the situation right now.
Had a giggle watching this - and to think, the reason I took a look in the first place was because I was going to have a moan about the "lol" at the start ! Glad I didn't now !

I do feel a bit sorry for the people who's cars got rammed by the pop-up bolsters though - is that legal? If that was me I'd want the council to pay for the damage, I can't believe they were allowed to install those things!!

At first it was funny but was l worried when that car got hit and a baby was sitting at the back. Many more will surely get hurt. ls there anything effective they can come up with without hurting people?

Seems like an ill-conceived method to enforce traffic laws. Sort of like shooting at cars for speeding.
