There is a lot of possibilities starting from the simplest one which is wind generator. More complicated would be water generation where a usually dam is build and potential energy of the water accumulated behind the dam moves water through turbines and generates power. Some other may include thermal energy of the earth. If you drill deep enough you will get to the earth crust zone where temperature is high to produce steam and this steam is converted (generated) into the electric power. Ocean waves are also source to generate energy.

All of the above answers show intense thought, but the fact is that even wind and hydro powered generators are taking energy (or fuel) from one source and converting the energy into another form. Energy cannot be manufactured. It can only be transferred from one form to another. Therefore, technically, a generator that uses no fuel is impossible to build.

Of course! The possibilities are endless. Just a few:

Water generators-
for use in running water

Wind generators-
used in high winds or even in front of a fan

Human power-
a simple crank-the more you crank it, the more power.

Steam-
Water is heated up and pushed through a turbine, turning a generator, making electricity.

I hope I helped!

I'v thought about this too. Using an electric generator and whatever amount of batteries needed to get the generator turning, by using a generator that puts out enough electricity to power what you need, keep its batterys charged, and keep the gen turning.

Sounds most logical and most energy conserving.

A generator that can "run from a battery" is called an "inverter". If you are referring to a rotary generator, they are called "rotary inverters" and are used on aircraft and ships to produce the 120 Volts 400 Hz Three Phase supply used by navigation equipment. Of course, the inverter can run only so long as the battery is charged and therefore, the main generator of the ship or aircraft, must charge the battery. If you are thinking that you can run a generator from a battery and charge the battery from the generator, forget it as you would be trying to produce "perpetual motion" which is impossible in out little universe.

Of course. You can hand crank the generator for power or use a water wheel or wind or a number of other methods to get the motion you need.

Already you can have a generator with out fuel. that is wind mill- power generation, and tidal power generation, and solar power generation ect.

Yes use natuarl forces as the power source insteas of fuel for example wind or water or you can simply rotate the shaft with your hand!!!!!!!1

Without fuel (which is chemical/combustion) you will need solar (electro chemical) or external physical force like wind, water or muscle power.
