My baby when he gets giddy. Actually looking at any giddy person would cheer me up, it's just that my babyis giddy enough for him to make a difference.
If nothing cheers you, music might energize you and then if you get out of the house that would refresh you which in turn could cheer you.
If you're often down and don't have a baby you might want to get a puppy dogs have a similar effect on depressed people.

Well, first off, put on some of my favorite music. I like Christian, soft rock. I have a little prayer time. Then I get out a good book, I like Tim LaHaye or Faith For a lifetime, a daily inspirational book, or even the bible. If that doesn't do it, then I pull out my daughters photo album. I took a great deal of photos especially if she did silly or funny things. This always makes me smile.
Sometimes, I will take my camera and go for a walk in the woods or in the garden. Taking pictures is relaxing and fun to me and gets my mind off my troubles.
Then, there are times when I may choose to call a friend and talk it out. That helps too, just to get things off of my mind that are bothering me. I have a friend who laughs a lot, how can you not laugh when they are? It really is contagious...hope this gives you an idea!

day dream of of loved ones - being there with them rather than being at a job. Looking around and realising that no matter how bad things are _ I really am a lucky person - there are so many more people with much less than I have. Looking out and see a carpet of Red leaves swirling in the wind and knowing that although they are dead they are the most beautiful at this time of the year

going through a pile of old photographs to recapture the memories. Or as I am doing now, printing off some photographs to put into an album.
If all else fails chocolate. OK I know but it works for me.

Burt Bacharach and Mack David wrote the music.

Put the heater on, snuggle up on your sofa with your duvet, preferably with a loved one, with a box of expensive chocolates/ tub of fave ice cream/ perfect bacon butty, and watch dirty dancing/ grease/ finding nemo, or similar.
OR, go put on your favourite outfit, do your hair and make up all pretty, put your best heels on and go have an afternoon cocktail with your best friend, and talk about shopping and boys.
