I read that you shouldn't work your abs every single day. Your abs are like every single muscle in your body, and need time to repair after you work them out. You wouldn't work your chest, or your biceps five days a week. If you give them a day off between workouts, I think you will see much better results.

I work out about 7 days a week and Abs are always part of the routine. I do 500 reps at the gym on the the Ab isolator and at home I will do 3,000 every other day. That is broken down into sit ups, crunches and bicycles. I was injured for awhile so all icould do was Ab exercises so I got a little carried away. So every other day I 3,500 and on off days only 500.

I do a minimum of 60 crunches consistent with day plus extra reckoning on how shredded they experience. additionally do leg lifts to artwork the decrease abs & 2-3 minutes of the plank (works the best deal at as quickly as) Dont forget to run or motorcycle or maybe though a minimum of four circumstances a week for a minimum of an hour.

i'm not really into the situps. i like running much more. i run about 3-4 miles a day, except on days that i have cheerleading practice. but we do crunches at our manditory workouts twice a week.

When I was a kid, really fit and always ran, I was first able to do 250. I then conditioned myself to do a 500. When I could manage, I just did whatever I could in 10 minutes. I got really conscious of my pot belly then :P Now, I think, 8? Haha!

Getting out of bed or off the couch is the closest thing anyone will catch me at that resembles a sit-up.

i do crunches instead of sit ups and do it to the tune of 4 songs. Each song is approx 4 min long. I do them as fast and accurate as possible. I never count how many.
