Atlanta Sucks, what do you think?

I posted this response to another question, but, I wanted all to see. "I really can't stand Atlanta or it's surrounding cities/towns. Traffic bites, the weather can't make up it's mind, finding employment is solely based on "who ya know," crunk music is in an overwhelmingly abundant rotation, folks in government aren't the brightest bulbs, good luck finding booze on Sunday, or Any holiday, even the free stuff has a price, and the educational system is dismal at best." Otherwise, it's ok, if you don't mind traveling 10 years back in time. When my lease is up, we're on the next moving truck back to this century."

What's your opinion?

Honestly, I think the whole state of Georgia sucks. Especially in Atlanta. It's too humid and hot. It is still segregated. The people are anti-social. Everything is too far away, you can't walk anywhere so, you need a car just to get around. Even in Atlanta, they don't have public transportation. So, yes Atlanta does sucks.

I was there a while ago and really liked it. I'm going back this week for a visit. Almost every complaint you have is the exact complaint every city has. Except the crunk music, and booze (we have too much of it here in Wisconsin)

I live in Snellville, which is east of Atlanta. The metro area definitly is not as safe as it used to be. I live in a moderate area. I feel safe walking out my door, but stuff still happens. As for downtown, I get really nervous. My mom works downtown and the last time I went with her to work, I was so nervous. I witnessed probably 3 drug deals. Homelessness if definitly on the rise. I can't stand to be down there during the day. Nighttime is even worse. I'm hopefully going to college at Emory, but as soon as I graduate I'm moving out of Atlanta. I'm not sure where, but I do not want to live anywhere near the city.

I can understand this, I just moved about 50 miles away. It's nice in the country side if it's your thing.

I would suggest a concealed weapon depending on the area. Metro Atlanta is not a place to be in daylight, or dark..Be careful when you go to underground Atlanta. Go to Gwinette County...

My sister lives there and I have visited.I am not in to the southern thing- I found the accent annoying,and the people who ride the Marta to be less then friendly.
