In my city they take up an entire city block. There are so many that the police established a sub-station just for them. The officers must speak spanish and they patrol only that area. Many are required to walk a beat to try to foster good community relations. The neighborhood school is now entirely populated by the offspring of those illegal immigrants. I can tell you that the rest of the city does not get their own substation with officers assigned to walk a beat to foster community relations. Just another example of the hidden costs of illegal immigration.
For all you pro-illegals out there that want to welcome the illegals with open arms, just try to walk through that neighborhood sometime. See how welcome you are. My guess is that IF you walk away you would have a whole different perspective.

We have thousands of dot-headed cow worshipers in my city. I'd guess roughly 1/3 of them are illegal. They're like Jews!

How is anybody supposed to know that? Even if you went out and surveyed every single person in the street, do you really think that an illegal immigrant would tell you that they were one?!

Hundreds of thousands--perhaps a million or two in New York City. Interestingly though, the city is booming economically & its due to all of the people here--regardless of legal status that makes this city great and an economic engine for the region.

i just got home from counting illegal immigrants from last night
and i found 31 but it was thanksgiving day and every thing, alot of illegal immigrants bar i guess closed.

Well, that is the sticking point, as I am not fully certain. I would go with 5000, but unless they have a neon sign on theri head indicating this, i may be falling into a prejudice trap

TOO MANY. I know that they are illegal because they are constantly hiding from ICE when they come here.
