I lied about my age to a girl I met a couple of nights ago, told her I'm 27 when I'm two years older. Dumb move, and I'm meeting her again in a couple of nights. Should I tell the truth straight away and do you think it will bother her?

Why on earth would you bother lying about a two year age difference? Tell her immediately, or she may think you are the sort of person who tells meaningless little fibs.I'm sure if she doesn't mind dating a 27 year old, you being a 29 year old wont make an ounce of difference.Honesty is always the best policy!

Age is an illusion, it's all in the mind and if somebody is keen then such a small differance doesn't matter. Why did you trim 2 years off your age, it's neither here nor there, 27 is little differance to 29 to most people.

i lied to the girl who i am getting married to next month. she is 9months elder to me & so i said i was 23 when i was 22 & she was 23. it was a shock to her, b'coz she never wanted a younger guy, but she is still agreed to marry me. i had to lie since this is an arranged marriage & the guy has to be elder. even her parents were fine with me being younger.
in ur case, it is the other way around. u told her u're younger when u r older. if u r not looking for a long-term r'ship with this girl, no need to tell her right if u think it will bother her? how old is she? if u r planning a long-term r'ship tell her now rather than later. Shouldn't be too big of a probelm I think.

Firstly - Why did you lie? Was it that you thought you would frighten her off cos she is younger??
When you told her that you were 27 - were u out ... just ask her how old she is again, and say to her - i am 29..... If she remembers you said 27 - just say - i am an idiot - but I think it is best to be honest - she will appreciate it

Well how do you know she hasn't lied to you about her age? Tell her teh truth and if she doesn't like it, move on. Honesty is the best policy!
Chances are that she won't mind as it's still a very early stage in your relationship.

Tell her the truth before the relationship between you both goes any further otherwise you will find it even harder to tell her.
Been open and honest will make her like you more.
Just tell her you were worried she wouldnt like you if she knew your true age. I personally dont believe age matters and i think you will be absolutely fine if you tell her your true age on the next date. Good luck with the date anyway - hope it works out.
