I cant even get to the beginging of the computer where start is. It brings me to the spot where i need to type in my prodution key password. help me please?

The key is on the Windows manual (and often on both the disc case and manual).
Find your Windows booklet usually entitled "Getting Started - Microsoft Windows __"
The code is usually on the cover under the words "Certificate of Authenticity". There you will find the Product Key and a bar code.
It is often a white sticker or can be printed directly on the cover.

Windows 98 cd is must for anything to do without any errors.
format and try installing new..

there should be a sticker on the pc somewhere that has it
