Putin has always had a yearning to return to the glory days of the Soviet Union. He is slowly taking away basic speech rights and undermining the market reforms that were instituted when the wall came down. He seems willing to retain and consolidate power at all costs. Even if Putin did not specifically order the poisoning himself, it is certainly consistent with his overall policies and practices.

Ah yah it obviously was Putin you know? I mean not long ago a journalist was shot execution style. Putin is quickly moving Russia alongs towards a police state. They should never have trusted the man and they are all doomed now. Dont keep an open mind about him. Once you are KGB you are always KGB it is a way of life.

Vladimir Putin does'nt like the media. In his country he can put this down if he wants to. The KGB agent that died from radiation could have been the work of anyones terrorist. As far as media is concerned they should be STEPPED on everywhere not just socialist/communist regions.

yes.
Russia needs oil, like all other countries.
they DID have an arrangement with Iraq
& if any1 can cast their mind back 2 the eve of the Iraq war and the French/Russian joint disgust and agreement that the war was illegal.
they lost that Oil and Halliburton/US gained.
it's down 2 sour grapes and pay-back.
the killing of a UK citizen of Russian heritage on UK soil is nothing short of embarrassing the UK government and Special forces, who were obviously incapable of protecting Alexander Litvinenko.
his family must feel so vulnerable and nothing more than sitting-ducks,
as do the rest of us living in a country that killing such a high-profile ex-russian agent was 2 EASY!
