Hello...
I am so sorry to hear that you feel depressed all the time. I can imagine that it feels hopeless right now and like you will never escape from it. There is a really good website at www.troubledwith.com and I would encourage you to check it out and click on depression. There is a lot of helpful information there. You say you feel 'nothing'. Could it be that you are searching for something in life that you haven't found yet and that's why you feel such emptiness? I have felt that emptiness, too, but have found complete peace in Jesus Christ. I don't mean to sound like a 'religious' person who oversimplifies things with phrases like 'Jesus loves you', Although that is true, I know that to people who don't believe, it sounds like foolishness. But I am just speaking from personal experience in saying this - Jesus wants to meet ALL of your needs...he wants to give you purpose in life...he wants to fill your heart with his love and his joy. Even though accepting Jesus hasn't made my life perfect, or even easy, it is the most important thing in my life, and I know he wants a relationship with you too. I pray that you find the relief you are seeking and that your heart would know peace. God bless.

You need to get help finding out the reason for your depression. Sitting around thinking all of the time only makes it worse. At least you've admitted you have a problem. If you can't afford private sessions go to your local hospital, they have a mental health unit and speek with someone there. In the mean time, if there is something you enjoy doing than by all means do it, and do it often, don't be dwelling on the negative all of the time, Mental well being is very serious and should be taken as such,Please get the help you need.

I have learned to live with my depression ( for over 30 years)
I choose to ignore it
yeah, that sounds impossible to some but its true..
I can choose to frown, posture all bent over, whine about my life or I can put on a fake smile, stand straight, and act cheerful for a while
and amazingly.. i forget that I'm depressed at least for a while
I've tried all the depression meds balanced with the Dekokote and I still went into manic mode
so I do not take any meds to help me
I force myself to pretend for the public

Depression is a chemical embalance in your brain. You will not be able to just make it go away. Go see a Dr. for some antidepressants, or I have heard that the herb, St. Johns' Wart also helps. If your condition worsens please see a Dr. depression is nothing to play around with. Hope you get to feeling better soon

Check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org. If you have more symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) than just depression, then read on - and see about getting tested (self- or with a doctor's assistance) for pre-diabetes (aka metabolic syndrome).
If this is part of the cause of your depression, the cure is eating a diet that balances your blood sugar (also one of the self tests). There are books at the library link that have diet plans in them for balancing blood sugar.
Feel free to e-mail me through my profile, if you want someone to "talk" to.

Sure. Get on meds and into talk therapy. You will feel better in a month. Trust me. It works. Just make that call to your local support community and get out of the box. :)

This is a very good blog, a beginner’s guide to abnormal psychology.
Short, clear and simple; and you can even post your question and contact the author regarding particular subject you are interested in, for FREE

talk to someone you trust about how you feel (family, friend even GP), make sure you do get to the doctors, they'll be able to diagnose you and offer treatment or counselling, depending on your own personal circumstances,/feelings.
