There are plenty of good book available on that subject. There is a good book for beginners called "Investing for Dummies". There are various books on asset allocation. "All About Asset Allocation" is a good one. A good book of fundamental analysis is "Secuirty Analysis" by Graham and Dodd. Then there is "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets" by John Murphy. There are many others also.

Sure, read "The Millionair Next Door." Most of those folks became millionaires buy investing their money in themselves and their own business ideas.
