I think heels are definitely slimming but what about boots? My view is that knee length boots absolutely are, especially with a heel. However you need to be tall and slim to carry of over the knee boots. What do you all think?

I think that boots are slimming with heels - but they are just so cool - can do so much with boots!

I am a size 10/12 and only 5"5 so no i dont think that you have to be tall and slim to carry it off! anyone can wear boots - and everyone should!!!!

Most high leg boots are quite slimming. I wouldn't touch over the knee boots though unless you're one of those people who can carry off any look effortlessly. The don't work for a lot of shapes.

I was walking behind a larger lady this morning who had boots which came up half-way over her calf. Trouble was she had pure white legs and a skirt on. I think for boots to be slimming you need to wear black tights with them and have them high enough that they cover all of your calves. It doesn't matter if they have a heel on them or not.

it depends on the rest of your body!

over the knee boots are defiantly only for the kate moss's of this world, anyone else looks like a heifer!! (me included!)

knee length boots with a heel are slimming, they make you stand up straighter and help slim the rest of your body.
