childline is for children to phone when they are being abused, social workers are the ones that visit peoples houses to determine wether or not its a safe enviroment for children to live.

Often children who are in distress are afraid to talk to adults. Child -line is a `phone in` where they can speak to non social workers and get help without having to go through the system and have their lives taken away from them.

childline is a call cnetre for children to call if they cant take whats happenin to them anymore. social workers are who take care of this child after the phone call.

don't social workers, kinda, see the kid? and they send them to foster homes and stuff? childline workers anre just on the phone listning to their problems, i think. cos it's confidential.
