I need it to run CD's for games etc,. Can you tell me how to get 'Run' or another way to open CD's please? Thanks.

Open the start manager, right click on an empty area, Choose properties(lol the only choice) Go to personalyse or something like that and to advance:
You can add "run"

go to settings go to taskbar and strat menu go to start menu click customize select dispaly run and then ok
