I think a lot of these get-togethers and break-ups are so dramatic, it's more for magazine and article coverage than anything else. Maybe poor Jennifer Aniston is taking us all for a ride!

Oh, I don't mean that they are being forced into it by studios. I mean they decide to do it on their own, or with agent input, to further their careers AND get movie exposure.

I think you have a point. It's amazing all the on set hook up and break up right after the movies bomb (Ben and Jen) Then you have the celebrity that's had a drug addiction or been arrested suddenly marrying the love of his life. It's all just a little too coincidental for me, but I am cynical

interesting question...i've never thought about this one. now you have me thinking about it. lol.
it used to happen a lot in the early days of hollywood...if there was a "leading male" actor rumored to be gay. and some couples also had to hide the fact that they were married, for fear of losing popularity (and money for the studios) as teen heart-throbs, starlets, pin-up girls, etc. it also occurred among some early rock stars. it all definitely gets the media frenzy stirred up, and boosts magazine sales.
so, i'm sure it's a possibility it could be going on today as well. i don't think that's the case with jennifer aniston. but what about jessica simpson? her father is a minister. i would think he'd do everything he could to counsel his daughter and son-in-law to stay married, ride out the rough times, and honor their vows...who knows. i would be more inclined to suspect the celeb marriages that last less than 2 years. michael jackson, among others.
yep, you sure have me thinking about this now. lol.

no they may really like each other they just rush into things what might be a crush and nothing more they rush into marriage bc the LIKE/LOVE someone and then when they get to know each other better they realize that UP i dont like him it was just a crush or whatever. I think that is why you have divorces and break ups and plus Some do not take marriage seriously enough too. they do not think b4 they act. They are to impusly.

I think that studios may have had more power 50 years ago.
These days, celebs may be sent out on dates.
However, I don't think that the studios are arranging marriages.

That is not true. They are used to getting everything they want, they would not let themselves get forced into that. And 'poopr' Jennifer is happy now with Vince

In some cases people just get together to get in magazines movies or just to get money. Also I can't stand JENNIFER ANSITON. She's a b**ch

Ninety percent of the celeb "couples" exist only for the sake of publicity.

I definitely think so. Like J-Lo and all her string of men. I wonder how long Marc will be around.

i don't think so. i think just like some regular people they just rush things too fast before actually really knowing the person or getting their views about, children, family, etc.etc.
