Guess what. I bought a watch but the strap was too big. I paid £5 to a swine who took out some links. But he did not take out enough links and it was still loose. I asked here if it is ok, some people said yes. some people said no. I could not sleep last night because I was worrying about this watch strap. So this morning I went to another jeweller shop. The bloke said he charges £5 to adjust the band. So I paid the £5. Total of £10 paid on adjusting a goddamn watch band. Can you believe it? I cant even afford to spend money like that cause I am on the sick.

Any way. The watch fits like a glove now. My question is: Is it only Chavs that wear loose fitting watches? You know the sort. The type who go down the pub with their mobile phone on their belt buckle, wearing a cheap sovereign ring, and addidas trainers. Only people like that wear loose fitting watches dont they? Only people like that wear their watches like a bracelet. whats wrong with those people?

Depends on the style of watch, and what sex you are! As a bloke a loose fitting watch would be odd but as a woman I have a couple of dress watches that are bracelet style-and supposed to be loose.

Don't know about the chav thing-there aren't any round here thank goodness. Why were you having to pay to have the watch strap adjusted though? Whenever I've bought a watch they adjust the strap as a free service-even when it's a gift and you have to go back.

I had a bracelet style watch that I couldn't afford to have adjusted, so I didn't adjust it & it was loose but I'm not a "chav", however anyone defines it.

I buy leather strap watches or ask for that kind as gifts now because its asier & cheaper to just pull the strap tighter.

Personally I don't like watches too tight as they rub on the bony bit on my wrist!

No. I have a loose fitted watch.

Mainly because of the small wrists i have. To give you an idea of how small my wrist is its the small width of a samsung d500 and as thick as a cadburys dairy milk.

Most watches are rather large for me.. i often have to make extra holes. ones with links or bangle style watches are not ideal, cos they just fall off.

Im no chav. I so dont hope so. I try my hardest to avoid large branded clothing with 'NIKE' written across of it. If i like a designer brand i often go for ones that noone buys or ones that dont advertise on the front.

There is nothing wrong with *US* people. I like to wear my watch loose like a bracelet. It bothers me having something tight on my wrist. It's stylish & very accepted. Hmm I wonder where your hanging out at lol

Calm down mate - who made you perfect ??? Those watches are worn by anybody and from your grammer - you come across as either an irate Chav yourself or a Pikey - actually more a Chav coz 'you're on the social' xx

fitted like URBAN OUTFITTERS. not abercrombie. urban outfitters makes a guy seem like they actually know a little bit about fashion. abercrombie is for those that only follow trends and dont know how to match anything..i think thats why abercrombie was made. everything matches each other cause its so boring. anyway fitted is best.

if the biggest worry in your life is the length of your watch strap, you're doing OK!
