have this phone and it's great. The 'connection error ' simply means you have not connected to the net as you wanted- so either means you have to check your settings .The settings are given to you by your telecommunications server. However, you have to subscribe to have this service beforehand. This is an extra service that your phone facilitates. It has nothing to do with the actual use of the phone for normal calls etc. Once you do get connected you can see serveral websites onlines but you have to remember to disconnect too after you use the web. You need to read up on this , check your manual.

If this is not the case then it could be for some reason the Sim card is not right for your phone.

The connection error is often a sign of you logging into the Internet incorrectly. But more commonly its a sign that you didn't sign up for Internet access. What you should do is take the phone to your company (cingular, Tmobile etc,) And tell them the problem. I can say that i am almost positive that that's the problem. Ask them if you signed up if they say no sign up. I know this because this happened to me and my best friend Matt.
