I love Oasis because they made the 90's somewhat interesting (Radiohead are the dullest band and most overrated band ever!) Being half-Irish I can't really say a bad word about them or my nan would kick me, but Oasis have had a much bigger impact on my life and other low-intelligence. illiterate drink-a-lot-louts who ask birds to "get them out for the lads" (well at least that's what non-oasis fans assume oasis fans are like, even though I'm a Phd student who has played in a number of bands.) Alright enough of a rant (seriously though those idiots who said neither- quite clearly it was a choice of either...go away and put some white makeup and black clothes on.) I think you can make a definitive answer of Oasis, just because Oasis don't simply repeat other peoples' music as Westlife do, who only recreate other people's music. Oasis' material is predominantly their own and they've got their own sound (and screw George Harrison how dare he have a go at Oasis for ripping off the Beatles when (1) Oasis sound much more like the Faces anyway, and (2) the Beatles first three albums rip off nearly every major afro-american artist of the early sixties.) I've always found Oasis to be an exciting group, with an energy that a group like Westlife could only hope for. So the answer is OASIS, OASIS, OASIS, OASIS, OASIS...

Oasis rules! They are so ... British and full of imagination; Westlife is more like a little neighborhood band. Oasis could rule the world and have huge concerts on stadiums, while Westlife are more for a small private party. For this, my vote goes to Oasis! I guess I've convinced you :P

Oasis any day of the week. Original music which represents a generation. Westlife just churn out ballad after ballad, sitting on stools surrounded by dry ice. Their live shows don't have any comparison at all.

Definately Westlife!!!! I used to like Oasis but the fact that their heads are so far up their own asses puts me off.

Its like comparing apples and oranges...both totally different.
Mind you, I'd back Oasis in a fight with Westlife anyday.
